How can composite structures be inspected quickly and efficiently as part of maintenance and repair?
This question is the focus of our presentation at MRO Europe 2026 in Amsterdam.
On October 28–29, 2026, the voidsy team will present our approach to contactless active thermography in aerospace MRO applications at Booth 5-I022.
Composite structures have become an indispensable part of modern aircraft. At the same time, airlines and MRO facilities need inspection methods that deliver reliable results and can be efficiently integrated into existing maintenance processes.
The 3D V-ROX plus was developed specifically for flexible, user-guided inspection tasks.
The system combines active thermography with 3D thermographic reconstruction and integrated assistance systems that support the user during the measurement.
As a result, this technology is particularly well-suited for applications such as:

Unlike testing methods that require a coupling agent, active thermography operates entirely without contact.
In this process, the component is briefly heated, and the resulting heat flow is recorded using an infrared camera. Structural changes beneath the surface affect this heat flow and can thus be visualized in the thermographic data.
The V-ROX platform combines this principle with modern data processing and, in the 3D versions, also provides depth-related information and thermographic 3D reconstruction.
We look forward to discussing with airlines, MROs, OEMs, and NDT specialists who are interested in new approaches to composite testing.
